Cygnet was founded in 1988 and has since developed a range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism, and learning disabilities in the UK. We operate around 150 facilities including; mental health hospitals, rehabilitation centres, residential services with nursing, and, nursing homes. We employ 11,000+ people including RMNs, RNLDs, RGNs, Clinical Team Leaders, Ward Managers, Clinical Managers, and Hospital Directors.

Registered Mental Health Nurse

Are you interested in a challenging and rewarding career in mental health nursing? We are always looking for compassionate and professional nurses to join our team and tend to the needs of service users with a variety of diagnoses. As a registered mental health nurse at Cygnet, you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to make a positive impact on service users and their families.

You will be responsible for maintaining care plans, administering medications, and working closely with the management team to improve on quality of care. Additionally, you will monitor, manage, and reduce risk while focusing on the recovery of your patients. Excellent written communication skills are essential, as you will be required to produce reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.

I’ve had nothing but support throughout my time at Cygnet. If I ask for help with anything, I get it. It’s a fast-paced Ward and a lot of hard work. The patient group has a lot of distressing times, but it’s satisfying when I can prevent the distress from escalating. That’s one of the best feelings

Registered Learning Disability Nurse

Our team of Registered Learning Disability Nurses help service users lead more fulfilling lives. They use a range of skills to provide patient-centred care that is both rewarding and valuable. As a nurse in this role, you will be able to focus on providing high-quality care that empowers and supports our service users.

You will help them improve their physical and mental health, reduce barriers to independent living, and lead them towards enjoying better quality lives. Clinical Team Leader

Join us as a Clinical Team Leader within Cygnet and your main responsibility will be to supervise and provide clinical expertise to ensure that our services run smoothly. You will motivate and support your nursing team while delivering excellent care. You should have a keen interest in leadership, research, and risk assessment, as well as a passion for providing outstanding care.

You will be a role model to your colleagues and actively participate in training and developing staff. Your daily duties will include maintaining care plans, producing high-quality nursing assessment reports, administering medication, and working closely with the management team to continually improve the quality of our services.

Ward Manager

Our Ward Managers enjoy taking on challenges and leading their teams. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a nursing team and ensuring that they provide high-quality and evidence-based care to patients. You will need to be organised, committed, and dynamic to motivate and inspire your team.

Your role will involve coordinating with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent care to patients. As well as someone who can cost-effectively use operational resources, ward management at Cygnet does require passionate and experienced leadership in a mental healthcare setting.

Clinical Manager

If you possess qualities such as compassion, vision, and strong leadership skills, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to put those skills to use in a very rewarding role. As a Clinical Manager at Cygnet, you are responsible for being a role model to your colleagues, providing leadership, direction, and supervision to all clinical and support staff.

Your focus should be to motivate your team and ensure the delivery of the best care possible. You will also be responsible for overseeing the admission and discharge of all service users, implementing, and evaluating agreed systems of clinical and operational support, and working closely with the management team to continually improve the quality of care provided.

Hospital Manager

Our Hospital Managers are exceptional leaders who bring together compassion, clinical excellence, and a strategic outlook to improve people's lives. They are organised, driven, and adept at managing people, and they are responsible for ensuring the overall delivery of care in their hospitals.

As the Hospital Manager, it is your responsibility to provide excellent leadership and support across all departments to ensure that the care provided is effective. You lead teams of clinical and non-clinical staff and ensure that everyone delivers outstanding patient care while maintaining compliance with all standards, including CQC and Health & safety.
