The service features en-suite bedrooms, including ground-floor options for those with mobility challenges, alongside dedicated therapy spaces, a gym, a barbershop, and spacious communal areas, both indoors and outdoors, including a secure courtyard.
This safe and supportive setting fosters rehabilitation and recovery, with a focus on breaking cycles of relapse and preparing individuals for independent living.
Cygnet Delfryn House & Lodge provides comprehensive support to help individuals build essential life skills, such as financial management, budgeting, and job readiness.
Service users receive guidance in creating CVs, job applications, and interview preparation, and they can also take on therapeutic internal roles with training provided by skilled staff. Beyond rehabilitation, the service values each individual’s unique interests and talents, offering opportunities to explore aspirations, develop skills, and regain confidence in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our service users are:
- Men and women aged 18+ - Cygnet Delfryn House (men) and Cygnet Delfryn Lodge (women)
- Detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) or informal
- Primary diagnosis of mental illness with: Complex comorbidities, substance, drug and alcohol abuse, treatment resistance, or behaviours that may challenge
- Aiming for a return to community or community-based care
- History of sexual abuse or domestic violence
- Typical diagnoses: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder or depression
- May have secondary diagnoses of mild learning disability, autism spectrum disorder or personality disorder
- May have a forensic history and/or be stepping down from secure services
- May have a history of repeated acute admissions

Mental Health Nursing Jobs
Are you interested in a challenging and rewarding career in mental health nursing? We are always looking for compassionate and professional nurses to join our team and tend to the needs of service users with a variety of diagnoses. As a registered mental health nurse at Cygnet, you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to make a positive impact on service users and their families.
You will be responsible for maintaining care plans, administering medications, and working closely with the management team to improve on quality of care. Additionally, you will monitor, manage, and reduce risk while focusing on the recovery of your patients.
Excellent written communication skills are essential, as you will be required to produce reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.
Occupational Therapist Jobs
Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.
Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.

Support Worker Jobs
Our Support Workers help to promote the individual's independence, working as part of the Multi-Disciplinary team. They provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support and learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way. Main duties include:
- Assist with medical & welfare needs
- Report on medical & welfare needs as required
- Safeguard those we support
- Supporting individuals in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
