The Role We're looking for an experienced Lead Nurse/Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Allied Medical Practice during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a leadership role where you'll combine advanced clinical practice with team management, supporting nurses and healthcare assistants across our Brighton practices. T his is an innovative and exciting opportunity to lead expanding services in line with the Next 10yr Strategy, across two GP practices, with a combined patient list of over 8000. You'll be a visible and accessible leader, driving high standards of patient care, mentoring colleagues, and influencing clinical models to improve outcomes. This role offers the chance to shape services, support innovation, and be part of our journey as we move into a purpose-built, modern practice designed to enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing. What You'll Do<ul><li>Deliver safe, effective, evidence-based care for registered patients.</li><li>Provide leadership and oversight for practice nurses and HCAs, ensuring compliance with CQC, IPC, and clinical governance standards.</li><li>Manage chronic disease clinics and health promotion initiatives, improving QOF performance.</li><li>Act as an independent prescriber, supporting patient pathways and clinical decision-making.</li><li>Mentor and develop your team through regular 1:1s, team meetings, and PDR processes.</li><li>Collaborate with practice managers and clinical leads to identify population health needs and implement service improvements.</li><li>Support training and career progression in partnership with our Learning &amp; Experience team.</li></ul> What We're Looking For <ul><li>Demonstrable advanced practice experience, ideally as an ANP or ACP.</li><li>Independent Prescriber qualification (essential).</li><li>Experience in primary care or general practice (urgent care experience considered if transferable).</li><li>Strong background in Long-Term Conditions and Women's Health.</li><li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.</li><li>Excellent communication, adaptability, and resilience - a true people person with a compassionate approach.</li><li>Ability to work flexibly across sites to support service needs.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Teaching/mentorship qualification.</li><li>Minor illness and chronic disease management courses.</li><li>Family planning and women's health qualifications.</li></ul>Who are we?
