As a staff nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients<ul> <li>Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder and learning disability</li> <li>Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement</li> <li>Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice</li> <li>Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress</li> <li>Accept personal and shared responsibility for the maintenance of quality nursing care, for all patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach within a forensic setting.</li> </ul>You can find additional information in the attached job description. What you'll bring to the role Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. A relevant nursing qualification and registration, such as RMN or RNLD, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent team-working skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a flexible approach, as our units operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nursing staff are required to work shift patterns that include weekends, bank holidays, and nights. Additionally, a strong commitment to patient-centred care, as well as adherence to values-based and evidence-based practice, is crucial.
