Join us as a Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse in the vibrant city of Norwich. This exciting full-time locum opportunity offers up to £26 per hour over a three-month contract. Working within the emergency department and inpatient wards of a busy 1,200-bed acute hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services. This role is ideal for a registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for individuals aged 16 and above.

What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate care plans for individuals aged 16 and over in the emergency department and inpatient wards.
- Develop onward care plans, ranging from primary care follow-up to referrals for Mental Health Act assessments.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and external agencies to support effective assessment, care planning, and information sharing.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in a varied shift pattern, including long days, twilight shifts, and nights across a seven-day service.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with current professional registration (NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England).
- Experience carrying out comprehensive mental health assessments within acute, crisis, liaison, or community mental health settings.
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant mental health legislation.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
