About the role As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You'll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, while your compassion and experience helps customers move forward with their lives. The role can be both challenging and rewarding, which is why we provide a tailored training programme* to help you thrive. You'll begin with formal training before assessing customers and have ongoing support and mentorship in your role with us. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't.
