We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join a community mental health team in Mitcham. This full-time locum role offers a competitive pay rate of up to £30 per hour over an initial 3-month contract. What you will do:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care within the Clozapine and Depot Clinic, ensuring safe administration, monitoring, and follow-up of prescribed treatments.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate person-centred care for individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health conditions.
- Carry out comprehensive mental health assessments and provide effective crisis intervention where required.
- Monitor patients receiving Clozapine treatment, recognising potential side effects and ensuring compliance with monitoring protocols.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Promote recovery, independence, and wellbeing through evidence-based interventions and ongoing therapeutic support.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing specialist knowledge to support effective care planning and service delivery.
