The Medical-Surgical RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their recovery process. Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization

Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care

Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

Promote patient safety and adherence to clinical standards and best practices

Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives

Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care journey
Qualifications
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Previous medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience preferred

Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
