Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) - Triage & Same-Day Care | Scunthorpe

Salary: Band 8a-8b (DOE)

Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week

Looking for a role where you can take the lead on triage and truly influence same-day care?

Join a busy, friendly training practice in Scunthorpe as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner working alongside GPs to manage the day-to-day triage and same-day patient care. This is a hands-on role running the triage intake in a supportive, collaborative environment, perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with patients and alongside a skilled primary care team.

With a patient population of around 20,000 across two sites, you'll be part of a team of over 50 staff, including 7 GPs, nurses, nurse associates, and healthcare assistants, delivering high-quality care to the local community.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for triage and urgent presentations
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute conditions
  • Making autonomous clinical decisions with the support of GPs when needed
  • Helping to streamline same-day services across the practice
  • Supporting ongoing improvements within the clinical team


What they're looking for:

  • Essential Proven experience within general practice
  • Confidence managing triage and same-day patient demand
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision-making ability
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using System One
  • ANP qualification or equivalent advanced practice experience
  • Qualified prescriber
  • Valid Registration with NMC or HCPC or GPhC
