We are seeking an experienced Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team in Waltham Forest for a part-time 2-month contract starting immediately. This exciting role offers a competitive rate of £58 per hour on an umbrella basis for 22.5 hours per week, spread across three days from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours from 09:00 to 17:00. What you will do

  • Provide care for clients presenting with substance misuse issues, initiating and managing prescriptions for opiate and alcohol substitute treatments.
  • Develop and manage the prescribing clinic, serving as a key contact for colleagues regarding medication-related enquiries.
  • Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans tailored to individual service user needs, integrating both medicinal and non-medicinal therapies.
  • Collaborate with Recovery Coordinators to assess the suitability for in-patient detoxification services for clients where appropriate.
  • Conduct regular reviews of treatment plans, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with best practice and local protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with service users and ensure they are informed and consenting to treatments.
