Join us as a Band 5 Registered General Nurse specialising in community-based addiction work in the scenic town of Bridlington. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact over a 6-month period while earning a competitive rate of £21 per hour on weekdays, £25.29 per hour for nights and Saturdays, and £30 per hour on Sundays and bank holidays through umbrella or LTD. What you will do:
- Provide holistic, trauma-informed care to individuals with complex needs, ensuring support is aligned with recovery goals and clinical priorities.
- Complete comprehensive substance use assessments, manage and document risk, and coordinate personalised care plans.
- Deliver a range of opioid substitution therapy pathways, including methadone and buprenorphine, and administer harm reduction interventions like naloxone training.
- Monitor both mental and physical health, identifying early signs of deterioration and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Engage in multi-agency planning with health and social care professionals, participating in safeguarding as required.
- Employ motivational interviewing and psychosocial approaches to boost engagement and support sustained recovery.
- Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation using systems like SystmOne, and respond flexibly to unplanned presentations and crises.
- Ideally, perform enhanced physical health assessments, including venepuncture, blood monitoring, and ECG recording.
