What you will do:

  • Deliver high-quality primary care nursing services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, and nurse-led clinics within the prison setting.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations in line with PGDs, national guidance, and organisational policy.
  • Undertake triage, emergency response, and urgent care, including holding the emergency response radio when required.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using electronic patient systems in accordance with information governance standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Must be prison cleared.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability)
  • Relevant nursing diploma or degree

Registration & Compliance:

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice
  • Prison clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of CQC standards, NHS clinical governance and secure environment protocols
