Are you a Paediatric Registered Nurse looking for a better work-life balance and a role where your clinical expertise directly supports children with complex health needs? If you have experience in paediatric complex care, A&E, critical care, or PICU, this could be your ideal next step.

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we deliver high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people in their own homes. Every package is tailored to the child's individual needs, and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist you will play a key role in shaping safe, effective, and compassionate paediatric care.

About the Role

It's a specialist role that requires clinical expertise along with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads. We're looking for someone who shares our values and is as passionate about care as we are.

You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office in Albrighton, but some flexibility is required as you will be travelling to clients'homes across the West Midlands and Shropshire regions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Taking clinical ownership of paediatric complex care caseloads.
  • Creating, managing, and reviewing bespoke paediatric care plans
  • Leading and delivering clinical training for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers
  • Ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality care in line with national standards
  • Reviewing clinical documentation, including MAR charts and care records
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide ongoing mandatory training and development in line with national standards.
This role combines office-based responsibilities with community visits to support children and families, focusing on the training, assessment, and competency of Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for paediatric nurses with experience in:
  • Paediatric airway management, including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
  • Ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive)
  • Enteral feeding (PEG / JEJ / NG)
Experience with spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, degenerative or neurological conditions in children is beneficial but not essential. Additional training can be provided.

Requirements
  • Valid NMC Pin (Paediatric) with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Ideally 12 months community care nursing experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong clinical judgement and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Flexibility to oversee complex care packages across the Midlands region.
What We Offer
  • No shifts, no on-call and no nights
  • Salary up to £42,000 pro rata
  • Access to our achievable bonus scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • An additional day off on your birthday*
  • Loyalty rewards at 3 and 5 years*
  • Refer-a-friend scheme.
  • Workplace pension
  • Paid DBS
