Registered Nurse - Complex Care (Community Role)

Location: Dover
Pay Rate: £27.00 - £33.00 per hour
Shifts: Nights (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays)

About the Role

Superior Healthcare is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RCN/RGN) to join our community-based team supporting an adult client with complex health needs in Dover. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical care while enabling the client to live a more independent and fulfilling life

About the Client

Our client is a young adult who lives at home with her Parents and 3 older Siblings. She enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, and socialising with friends. She loves fun days out and spending time caring for her three dogs, chickens and horse. An interest in cooking, creativity and a genuine love of animals is essential, as animals are a big part of her daily life.

Medical Needs Include:
  • Tracheobronchomalacia (unstable airways)
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Deep brain stimulator in situ
  • Dystonia
  • PEG feeding
  • Oxygen therapy (nasal cannulas/mask as required)
  • Bipap ventilation
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GRD)
  • Scoliosis
  • Scaffold airway
  • Non-verbal communication (eye gaze during the day, charts at night)

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-2-1 support to a adult with Complex Care needs.
  • Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to our clients
  • Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals.
  • Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Commitment to 2 regular shifts per week.
  • Ability to fit seamlessly into the home setting.
  • UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Compassion, confidence, and a gentle caring nature.
  • Experience in delivering care to complex clients, preferably in the community.
  • Clean and valid Registered Nurse pin with at least 1 year post-registration experience.
