Job overview

We are seeking a motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with current NMC registration to join the Lambeth Early Onset (LEO) Team. We are looking for someone who would like to develop their knowledge and experience within the area of First Episode Psychosis and work within a large and busy multi-professional team. This is an excellent opportunity to build specialist skills while making a meaningful difference at a crucial stage of a person's recovery journey.

As part of a well-established Early Intervention in Psychosis service, you will support people experiencing a first episode of psychosis through assessment, care coordination and recovery-focused interventions. You will gain valuable experience delivering evidence-based care, promoting social inclusion and helping service users achieve their personal goals.

Working alongside experienced nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers, you will be supported to develop your clinical confidence and broaden your expertise. The team offers regular supervision, specialist training and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with current NMC registration.

Evidence of continuing professional development e.g. relevant training

Experience of working in a community setting

Experience of working with service users with psychosis

Experience of the use of evidence based interventions relating to the care of service users with psychosis

Knowledge of current Government Policy and Guidelines concerning the provision of community mental health care in general and of Early intervention in Psychosis in particular

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to provide care that is sensitive to the needs of minority groups

Understanding of the supervision process
