What you will do:
- Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants performing daily phlebotomy tasks.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to and maintained throughout shifts.
- Take responsibility for the smooth operation of the clinic, ensuring staff are wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment and following protocols.
- Manage the ordering and escalation of stock levels, coordinating with Service Managers.
- Report all incidents through the appropriate channels and act as the Point of Contact for operational and clinical issues.
- Confidently perform venepuncture and manage any failed blood draw attempts.
- Maintain the unit to acceptable clinical standards by conducting daily audits.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities to guide and support the team effectively.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Current venepuncture, cannulation, or blood drawing certificate.
- DBS certificate.
- A manual driving licence is required for the Chepstow location.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday: 07:50 - 18:10
