They are a major independent provider of NHS services. As well as offering private healthcare, many of their hospitals and centres are contracted/commissioned by the NHS to provide services. Their involvement helps reduce waiting times, increasing choice for patients — e.g. NHS patients may be referred to their hospitals or treatment centres.
They cover a wide range of healthcare offerings across several domains:

- They offer a private/self-pay route (or via insurance), providing treatments with shorter wait times.
- They publish treatment costs and offer a range of payment options (including finance). “Wellsoon” is their private patient service.
