This full-time locum role offers an initial three-month contract with flexible shift patterns between 07:30-18:00 and 07:30-21:00. What you will do:

• Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care to patients within the prison environment.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for service users with complex mental health needs.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
• Administer medication safely and in accordance with professional guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
• Promote mental health awareness and wellbeing among patients and colleagues.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
• Carry out risk assessments and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
• Prison clearance is essential.
• Previous experience working within prison healthcare or secure mental health services is highly desirable.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts.
