Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Inverness, FL

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions in a collaborative healthcare environment.

About the Role

The Medical-Surgical RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their recovery process. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization

  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs

  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care

  • Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

  • Promote patient safety and adherence to clinical standards and best practices

  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives

  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care journey

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Previous medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience preferred

  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
