Registered Nurse (RGN) – Private Post-Operative Clinic

£22.50 per hour | 37.5 Hours per Week | Night Shifts

Please note:Due to the location of the clinic, applicants must be able to drive as public transport is limited.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to join a stunning private post-operative clinic, providing high-quality care to patients recovering from surgery. Working within a calm, well-equipped clinical environment, you'll play an essential role in supporting patients throughout their recovery while delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care.

This role is perfect for someone with hospital background, particularly those with experience in surgical wards, recovery, theatres, orthopaedics, urology, or other acute clinical settings. We're looking for a confident clinician who enjoys hands-on nursing and can assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient needs with professionalism and compassion.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience working within a hospital or post-operative clinical environment is essential.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with:
    • Catheter care and management
    • Post-operative wound care
    • Pain assessment and pain management
  • Experience using electronic patient records and clinical documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients' recovery, completing clinical observations and recognising early signs of deterioration.
  • Provide effective pain management and evaluate patients' response to treatment.
  • Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and ongoing wound care.
  • Manage urinary catheters and other post-operative interventions safely and effectively.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe recovery and discharge planning.
  • Deliver reassurance, education, and support to patients throughout their recovery journey.

This role does not offer Skilled Worker (Tier 2) sponsorship.
