We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our dynamic and forward thinking team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. You will be expected to work full-time, working 38.5 hours a week, working days and nights on a rota basis. (shift times 7:30am to 8:00pm; 7:30pm to 8:00am). The post offers successful candidates a unique opportunity to develop their skills across specialities, such as DBT, and knowledge from other specialist pathways all under one roof. Hooper Ward is our 13 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. New Dawn Ward is our 18 bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act. Upping Ward is our 15 bed intensive Support Service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service pathway provides a robust programme of care for women with challenging high risk behaviour who experience difficulties with engagement with therapeutic programmes. We aim to meet the needs of these women, who may have had previous inappropriate placements, in a less restrictive setting. Your Day-to-Day.. <ul> <li>Develop therapeutic relationships alongside service users and carers to motivate and influence service users drive for recovery </li> <li>Collaborate with others to ensure the delivery of safe and clinically effective care </li> <li>Apply skilled and meaningful interventions based on assessed needs </li> <li>Maintain contemporaneous records and care plans for service users </li> <li>Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations </li> <li>Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality </li> <li>Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge &amp; promote nursing </li> <li>Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete &amp; maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals. </li> <li>Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines. </li> </ul> You are... <ul> <li>Open, compassionate, honest &amp; resilient </li> <li>Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN with a current Pin Number </li> <li>Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits </li> <li>Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 &amp; have an understanding of latest nursing practices </li> <li>Able to deputise in a clinical lead role </li> <li>Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage &amp; reduce risk </li> <li>Helping to empower &amp; support service user independence. </li> </ul> Why Cygnet?
