<h3>Purpose of the Role</h3>

To deliver a high-quality public health service to children and families, supporting healthy growth and development through the Healthy Child Programme. As a Health Visitor, you will work autonomously within the community to provide assessment, intervention, and safeguarding support.


<h3>What You Will Do</h3>

Deliver the Healthy Child Programme (0-5), including health reviews, assessments, and early interventions.
</li>

<li>
Promote health and wellbeing in key areas such as breastfeeding, nutrition, immunisation, sleep routines, safety, and development.
</li>

<li>
Provide parenting advice and early education on child development and common childhood issues.
</li>

<li>
Undertake comprehensive health and developmental assessments for infants and young children.
</li>

<li>
Identify additional needs, vulnerabilities, or risks, offering tailored support and targeted interventions.
</li>

<li>
Develop personalised health plans and monitor the child's progress and outcomes.
</li>

<li>
Support families experiencing perinatal mental health concerns, domestic abuse, or safeguarding issues.
</li>

<li>
Act as a safeguarding lead, escalating concerns according to Trust and statutory procedures.

Attend multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and child protection reviews.
</li>

Work collaboratively with community services and deliver group sessions such as antenatal classes and parenting programmes.
