Clinical Nurse Lead

Reports to: Registered Manager


The Clinical Lead Nurse oversees the delivery of high-quality patient care, manages a team of community nurses, and ensures compliance with clinical standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


Clinical Leadership:

Supervise nurses, review care plans and risk assessments, participate in MDT meetings, and ensure accurate documentation.


Patient Care:

Conduct initial assessments, manage complex cases (including ICU-level care), and occasionally provide direct clinical interventions.


Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Lead audits, ensure CQC compliance, monitor medication safety, and stay updated on clinical best practices.


Training & Development:

Identify staff training needs and implement competency-based programs.


Operational Support:

Collaborate with the Homecare Manager, manage resources, and liaise with external healthcare providers.


Communication & Relationship Management:

Foster teamwork and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, GPs, and specialists.


Requirements:


Registered Nurse (NMC)

Experience in homecare/community nursing

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

ICU experience required
