DF Booking Recruitment Services is presenting an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) in Supportive and Palliative Care based in Harefield, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist palliative care to patients with complex clinical and psychosocial needs
  • Manage and coordinate a defined patient caseload, ensuring high-quality, individualized care
  • Offer expert advice on pain and symptom control, including physical, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Support patients and families in discussing and planning end-of-life care preferences
  • Deliver education, mentoring, and training to healthcare staff to enhance palliative care practices
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
  • Act as a key link between hospital services and community-based care providers

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse qualification with valid professional registration
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (or willingness to complete)
  • Significant post-registration clinical experience
  • Proven experience in supportive and palliative care
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Ability to manage complex patient needs and challenging clinical situations
  • Experience in audit, research, or quality improvement is an advantage
  • Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential)
