Senior Staff Nurse - Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced chemotherapy nurse ready to take the next step in your career?

At Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), part of HCA Healthcare UK, we're proud to deliver world-class private cancer treatment in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Rated Outstanding by the CQC and recognised with the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark , LOC is a truly special place to grow your oncology nursing career.

We're looking for a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to join our Chemo Day Unit - a nurse-led, collaborative service where your expertise, autonomy, and leadership will truly make an impact. This is an ideal opportunity for nurses who have consolidated their SACT skills and are looking to take on more responsibility, expand their clinical leadership, and continue progressing within oncology nursing.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our day unit, you'll be part of a highly skilled and supportive team caring for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapies. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate complex treatments in a calm, compassionate, and patient-centred setting. You'll play a key role in patient advocacy, clinical decision-making, and the coordination of care - not only improving patient outcomes, but also supporting their families during challenging times.
You'll work in a modern, purpose-built unit with access to the latest treatments and clinical innovations. Our service is built around safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing - for both patients and the staff who care for them.

Why Join LOC?

At LOC, you'll be empowered to develop both professionally and personally. Our cancer services are at the forefront of innovation, giving you exposure to advanced systemic treatments - many not yet available on the NHS - supported by an on-site pharmacy and chemotherapy production unit.
You'll benefit from the autonomy that comes with nurse-led care, working in an environment that values clinical decision-making and leadership. Whether you aspire to move into Sister, Matron or specialist roles, we'll help get you there through fully funded training (including at Master's level), dedicated development pathways, and regular sessions with external clinical educators.
Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that genuinely cares - about our patients, and about each other.

At HCA UK, we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver exceptional care. We care that you're looking for a career to be proud of. And we care about your wellbeing at work - offering a range of benefits and a supportive environment that lets you thrive.

What you'll bring:
  • NMC Nurse Registration
  • Proven experience in chemotherapy administration
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of systemic anti-cancer therapies (e.g. chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy), including common and rare side effects
Culture and values

At HCA UK we believe exceptional care starts with our people. We celebrate the unique perspectives and different experiences each of us bring as we know that when you feel seen, heard and supported you can be at your best for our patients, and each other.
Our mission is simple, above all else we're committed to the care and improvement of human life, a clear statement that extends to both our patients and colleagues. To achieve this, we live and breathe four core values:
  • Unique and Individual: We recognise and value everyone as unique and individual
  • Kindness and compassion: We treat people with kindness and compassion
  • Honesty, integrity and fairness: - We act with absolute honesty, integrity and fairness
  • Loyalty, respect and dignity: We trust and treat one another as valued members of the HCA UK family with loyalty, respect and dignity
Reasonable adjustments

We believe everyone should feel comfortable to bring their full self to work and be afforded the same opportunities. As a Disability Confident committed organisation, we're happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to suit your needs as well as offer reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process, and in the workplace, to anyone that needs them.
