Contract: Bank Contract

HomeLink Healthcare is looking for an experienced Community Oncology Nurse to join our Hospital at Home service, delivering high-quality cancer care to patients across London and the M25 area.

This role is ideal for Chemotherapy Nurses who are experienced with SACT, who are passionate about delivering specialist cancer care within patients' homes.

As a Community Oncology Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate care to patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT), helping them remain comfortable and independent throughout their treatment journey while avoiding unnecessary hospital visits.

The Benefits

  • Enhanced pay for weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Full clinical support and leadership
  • Ongoing training

About the Role

  • Deliver safe, high-quality oncology nursing care in patients’ homes
  • Administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and competently within the community setting
  • Undertake pre-chemotherapy blood sampling and monitor treatment responses
  • Safely manage IV therapies and central venous access devices including Port-a-Cath and PICC lines
  • Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Provide emotional support, practical advice and education to patients and families
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in handovers, MDT discussions and clinical governance activities
  • Promote patient wellbeing, independence and quality of life throughout treatment

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration and a minimum of three years’ post-registration experience.

You will be confident working autonomously within the community, with excellent clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional cancer care.

Compassionate and collaborative, you will build effective relationships with patients, families and healthcare professionals while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

You will also need:

  • Active NMC registration
  • Minimum three years’ post-registration nursing experience
  • Competency in venepuncture, cannulation and IV drug administration
  • Experience managing central venous access devices including Port-a-Cath and PICC lines

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
