Detailed job description and main responsibilities The SMART Service is nurse led, therefore the ability to work autonomously as well as effectively within a team is essential. The work will include visiting patient in the community therefore it is essential that you have a full UK driving license and a car. You will triage, assess, plan and implement the care of patients who are discharged home under the care of the SMART service in the community, review and give care to SMART patients attending SDEC/ Hot clinic for review, administer IV treatments and conduct virtual visits using our remote patient monitoring pathways. The Staff Nurse must also be able to liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe effective and timely care practices within the SMART service. The Staff Nurse must also be able to care for OPAT (Outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy) and post-operative patients. Full support and training will be provided to be able to support these patients safely. It is essential to have cannulation skills to deliver this pathway. As a SMART nurse teaching, auditing, infection control practices and undergoing research are activities undertaken within the role. Ward Manager CAMHS Department: Nursing Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Priory Hospital Chelmsford Compensation: £47,300 - £53,700 / year Description Priory Hospital Chelmsfordis looking to recruit a Ward Manager CAMHS to join the team CAMHS Ward for our 11 bedded ward for young people aged between 13 and 18 years at the Priory Hospital Chelmsford. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Chelmer Ward and The Lodge are private general psychiatry and addiction treatment facilities. We offer support to people in crisis with mental health issues, such as psychosis, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and trauma. The ward has a multidisciplinary team consisting of experienced consultant psychiatrists, specialty doctors, mental health nurses and therapists, who provide person-centred care, in collaboration with the patient, to allow them to maximise their recovery journey. As a Ward Manager CAMHS, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients<ul> <li>Manages the ward and resources effectively, taking steps to ensure that appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills is in place including effective rota management, annual leave and training arrangements.</li> <li>Has full oversight of the nursing staff rota and is the authorised individual to ensure rota management and erostering standards are maintained and are effective.</li> <li>Ensures that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training.</li> <li>Addresses shortfalls in development and ensures that training and performance issues are addressed</li> </ul>You can find additional information in the attached job description. The ideal candidate will be registered with the NMC , with at least two years' supervisory experience in a relevant care setting. They should be a trained Assessor/Supervisor, computer literate, and committed to ongoing professional development. Experience in clinical audit, service improvement, and managing multiple priorities is essential, along with previous experience supervising nursing or care staff.
