How you'll help us make health happen:<ul><li>Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for patients.</li><li>Work within a team, supervising and directing more junior staff and deputising for the Senior Staff Nurse as required.</li><li>Act as a clinical role model for all members of staff, driving high standards of care at all times.</li><li>Follow all hospital policies and procedures with due care and attention.</li><li>Within a system of case management, co-ordinate and monitor the progress of patient care and report any variance appropriately.</li><li>Ensure the correct storage and administration of medications in accordance with the hospital policies and NMC Standards for Medicine Management and ensure the safe handling of drug keys at all times.</li><li>Practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management.</li><li>Maintain positive working relationships with all Consultants, ensuring individual Consultant protocols are utilised.</li><li>Ensure that supplies are adequate and equipment is in working order.</li></ul>Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:<ul><li>Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.</li><li>ILS qualification required.</li><li>Competent with risk assessment, venepuncture and wound care management.</li><li>Nursing experience in a Cardiac Unit, ICU, or a Medical Ward within an acute hospital.</li><li>Experience of working with cardiac patients; cardiac ablation, aortic stenosis, CABG, and heart failure.</li><li>Competent with ECG's, IV Administration of Drugs, CPAP, AIRVO and PICC lines.</li><li>Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills &amp; report writing.</li></ul>Why Bupa?
