Detailed job description and main responsibilities The SMART Service is nurse led, therefore the ability to work autonomously as well as effectively within a team is essential. The work will include visiting patient in the community therefore it is essential that you have a full UK driving license and a car. You will triage, assess, plan and implement the care of patients who are discharged home under the care of the SMART service in the community, review and give care to SMART patients attending SDEC/ Hot clinic for review, administer IV treatments and conduct virtual visits using our remote patient monitoring pathways. The Staff Nurse must also be able to liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe effective and timely care practices within the SMART service. The Staff Nurse must also be able to care for OPAT (Outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy) and post-operative patients. Full support and training will be provided to be able to support these patients safely. It is essential to have cannulation skills to deliver this pathway. As a SMART nurse teaching, auditing, infection control practices and undergoing research are activities undertaken within the role. Children's Complex Care Nurse

The Role: As a Rapid Response Nurse within Superior Healthcare's Complex Care Team, you will provide clinical support to adults and children in their own homes, stepping in when their regular care or nursing team is unavailable. Rapid Response Nurses work with clients who have a variety of life-limiting conditions, including those present from birth, degenerative conditions, spinal and brain injuries, and those requiring interventions such as ventilation, gastrostomy, bowel management, and tracheostomy care. In addition to direct client care, you may also assist with training and inducting new Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, helping to strengthen the overall care team. This role would involve covering clients across West/Mid Kent. we currently have 4 openings with a choice of the below shift pattern. Rapid Response Nurse

Nurse Opportunity in Dover Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in a young adult's life? We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurse in Dover or the surrounding area to provide personal, one-to-one care for a young adult with complex healthcare needs in her own home. Although the role is based in the community, it is very much a hands-on bedside nursing position, where you will work closely with both the client and her family to deliver consistent, high-quality care. If you have a passion for person-centred nursing and supporting individuals with complex medical needs, this is a deeply fulfilling opportunity. The Role We support a young adult in the Dover area who has complex care needs and enjoys taking an active role in daily activities - especially cooking. As part of your 1:1 work with her, you will provide clinical support while also assisting her with her culinary interests, helping her enjoy meaningful, confidence-building experiences at home. She communicates using eye-gaze technology. Experience with this is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided to ensure you feel confident supporting her communication. You will become a familiar, trusted presence in her home, building a strong working relationship with both her and her family while delivering high-quality bedside care tailored to her needs. Comprehensive in-house training and a full induction programme, led by our Nurse Manager, will ensure you are fully equipped before working independently. You will also be inducted into the full care package so that you understand her routines, preferences, and clinical requirements. Key Responsibilities<ul> <li>Supporting BiPAP ventilation and monitoring equipment</li> <li>Assisting with PEG feeding and nutritional support</li> <li>Providing safe moving and handling assistance</li> <li>Managing care related to Cerebral Palsy and dystonia</li> <li>Supporting the client with her interest in cooking activities</li> <li>Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or behaviour</li> <li>Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment</li> </ul>Regular Working Pattern (not ad-hoc agency shifts) Once you have completed your induction, you will follow a consistent and predictable working pattern, unlike ad-hoc agency roles. You will work agreed regular day or night shifts, chosen from:<ul> <li>Monday - Sunday: 08:00 - 20:00 (Day shifts)</li> <li>Monday - Sunday: 20:00 - 08:00 (Night shifts)</li> </ul>Your set rota will be confirmed once you are inducted into the package, giving you clear visibility of your schedule throughout the year and ensuring continuity for you and the client.
