Shifts across four days per week, Monday to Saturday, between 7.30am and 8.00pm. 9.5-hour shifts with overtime and occasional on-call availability

Salary up to £35,000 dependent on experience, plus four per cent shift enhancement

We're looking for a Theatre Practitioner - Scrub to join our Theatres team at The Christie Private Care, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. You'll be working in a specialist private cancer centre known for its calm, professional environment, high clinical standards and close-knit theatre teams who take real pride in the care they deliver every day.

As a Theatre Practitioner in Theatres, you'll be part of a skilled multidisciplinary team supporting a varied surgical caseload across urology, gynaecology, general surgery and plastics. Day to day, you'll play a hands-on role within the scrub team, maintaining high standards of safety, preparation and infection control while supporting consultants and colleagues throughout the patient journey. You'll also have the opportunity to circulate, contribute to stock and equipment management, and work in a setting where teamwork, respect and patient dignity are central to how care is delivered.

What you'll do:
  • Scrub regularly across a range of specialisms including urology, gynaecology, general surgery and plastics
  • Act as a circulating practitioner when required, supporting the wider theatre team
  • Maintain theatre cleanliness, equipment readiness and stock control
  • Support patient preparation, transfer and positioning under the supervision of trained colleagues
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient and well-organised theatre environment
What you'll bring:
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Proven scrub experience within a UK theatre setting
  • Confidence using clinical IT systems and basic computer applications
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach to care
  • Experience in anaesthetics or recovery as a second skill
