Spire Murrayfield Hospital is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to provide exemplary planned care for patients on a part time basis working 10 hours per week.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Endometriosis will provide expert care, support, and education to individuals affected by endometriosis. Serving as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the CNS will lead in developing and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and promote awareness of endometriosis within the healthcare community.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning and evaluation of care for patients with suspected or confirmed endometriosis
  • Manage clinics, providing individualized care plans and interventions
  • Utilise advanced clinical skills to perform necessary diagnostic procedures and monitor results
  • Offer advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the care pathway
  • Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families, addressing the psychological, physical and sexual impacts of endometriosis
  • Develop and deliver educational materials and programs to enhance patient understanding and self-management
  • Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security
  • Support and enable equality, diversity and rights
  • Maintain and support the use of efficient use of physical and financial resources
  • Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI

  • Working as a practitioner in and across multi disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the independent sector
