Location: HCA Head Offices, 2 Cavendish Square, Central London
Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid
Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 0900-1730
Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our expanding corporate SACT Protocols team. This newly created role reflects the continued growth of our service and our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred cancer care across HCA UK.

As a key member of the HCA-UK Protocol Management Team and the Cancer Service Line, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that consistently meets the needs of all service users. You will also contribute to the safe and effective use of electronic prescribing systems, ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to patient safety.

You will have oversight of all aspects of the core operations, which include e-prescribing, medicines management, horizon scanning and clinical audit. Y ou will carry out a full range of registered nurse duties, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's condition and administration of SACT and supportive care whilst adhering to hospital and departmental policies, reporting any difficulties

You will be integral in providing training and education to specialist healthcare professionals such as pharmacy, nursing and medical staff in the safe use of e-prescribing system(s), and will be involved in continuous service and professional development, audit and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).

What you'll bring:
  • Relevant nursing degree
  • Registration with the NMC
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an oncology and/or haematology setting as a registered nurse (essential)
  • Proven experience in electronic prescribing systems, including system navigation, data integrity, and workflow optimisation (desirable)
  • Experience delivering training and supervising junior colleagues.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Committed to patient safety, service improvement, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
