Senior Staff Nurse - SACT / Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: London, HCA at UCH
Full time, 37.5hrs per week Monday - Friday - Shift times: 8am to 6pm
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Nurse (Band 6) with proven competence in SACT administration and chemotherapy delivery to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit at HCA at University College Hospital. Rated "Outstanding" by the CQC, our specialist oncology and haematology centre delivers cutting-edge cancer care, including advanced systemic anti-cancer therapies, targeted treatments, and supportive care for patients with solid tumours and blood cancers.

As part of our highly skilled Oncology and Haematology Day Unit team, you will contribute to pioneering services such as our JACIE-accredited bone marrow and stem cell transplant programme and our innovative CAR-T cell therapy service. This is an excellent opportunity for a SACT- approved chemotherapy nurse looking to step into a senior role within a world-class cancer service

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Chemotherapy Day Unit, you'll take a key leadership role-supporting the team, overseeing safe SACT and chemotherapy delivery, and leading by example in a fast-paced oncology and haematology environment. You'll assess, plan, and co-ordinate complex care pathways, and when required, step up to support the Sister/Charge Nurse in managing the unit.

What you'll bring:
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
  • Significant post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting
  • Up to date knowledge and an experience on the administration of the SACT
  • Experience managing and leading a clinical team
