We are recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join a leading Mental Health Hospital in Dewsbury, providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health and neuropsychiatric needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse with leadership experience to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team while further developing their clinical and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of person-centred care to service users within a specialist neuropsychiatric environment.
  • Lead shifts and coordinate clinical activities across the ward.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing and healthcare staff.
  • Promote recovery-focused care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Ensure safe medication management and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Support the development and wellbeing of junior team members.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential:
  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Previous experience working within a mental health inpatient setting.
  • Team Leader, Senior Nurse, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Desirable:
  • Experience within neuropsychiatry, acquired brain injury, rehabilitation, or complex mental health services.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff.
