We're looking for a Senior Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit at Private Care at Guy's, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. Our purpose-built unit features 19 dedicated treatment chairs and is designed to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care in a calm and supportive environment. As part of one of London's most advanced cancer centres, you'll be working within a service known for clinical excellence, innovation in oncology, and a truly collaborative nursing culture.

As a Senior Chemotherapy Nurse in our Day Unit, you'll be part of a highly skilled team delivering systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) to patients throughout their treatment journey. The team plays a vital role in providing safe, effective, and compassionate care while supporting patients and their families at every stage.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What You'll Do:
Day to day, you'll take the lead in administering chemotherapy, managing complex cases, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice. You'll also guide and mentor junior colleagues, helping to shape a supportive learning environment. Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you'll contribute to service development, champion quality improvement initiatives and help maintain the outstanding reputation of our unit. This is a role where your expertise is valued, your leadership makes a difference, and your passion for oncology nursing can truly thrive.
  • Lead the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care
  • Take charge of the day unit when required
  • Offer expert clinical guidance
  • Work autonomously and confidently, making sound clinical decisions
  • Embrace additional leadership responsibilities, such as acting as a link nurse, championing best practice, and promoting a safe, respectful, person-centred environment where dignity and wellbeing are prioritised
What you'll bring:
As a Senior Chemotherapy Nurse, you'll play a pivotal role in our day unit-supporting patients through their treatment journey while guiding and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • You'll deliver safe, effective chemotherapy care, manage complex cases, and contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement.
  • Experienced chemotherapy nurses ready to step confidently into a senior leadership role.
  • Staff Nurses with at least a year of independent chemotherapy administration experience will be considered
  • SACT-approved
  • Confident in recognising and managing chemotherapy-related side effects and complications
