Description
Priory Hospital Ty Cwm Rhonddais looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team on our 20 beds, male ward. This is a part-time role of 34.5 hours.
Based in picturesque South Wales, Priory Hospital Ty Cwm Rhondda is a low secure mental health facility offering high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for males with complex mental health needs, serious mental illnesses including treatment-resistant presentations, and behaviour that may challenge.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

A qualified Registered Adult Nurse with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, I hold active NMC registration and have successfully completed a preceptorship or equivalent programme. I possess a strong understanding of NMC standards, guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, supported by evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development. I demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to change, improvement, and high-quality care, with the ability to develop and utilise flexible and innovative approaches to practice. I have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, and I am confident using IT systems. My experience includes 6-12 months working within Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing, with a continuing record of professional development in these fields.

- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients/Service users that reflect their individual needs
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse. This includes the evaluation and review of these plans, with the patient/Service User, on a frequent basis, that is reflective of their needs
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team
- Build relationships and effectively communicates and engages with external professionals and stake holders
