Full-time role of 37.5 hours a week.
£36176.0 to £38596.0, dependent on experience
Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post-registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme. Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices. A dual qualification is desirable but not essential.
This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses. You will be working on across all wardsSet in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, just a short distance from Birmingham City Centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne provides a welcoming and well-connected working environment within beautifully maintained grounds.

Priory Hospital Woodbourne B17 8BY. With excellent access to the West Midlands motorway network and strong local public transport links, the site is easily accessible for commuters.


What you'll be doing
Responsible for delivering and coordinating high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within an agreed framework, including assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care in partnership with patients and their families or carers. Duties include acting as the named nurse, responding to changes in patients' needs, reviewing care plans, managing concerns and complaints, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, prioritising and delegating workload, and acting as nurse in charge when required. The role also involves maintaining professional development, supporting newly qualified staff as a preceptor, participating in clinical supervision and reflective practice, promoting safeguarding and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and medicines management policies, while adhering to organisational policies and the NMC Code.
You will join the team across all wards. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.You can find additional information in the attached job description.


What you'll bring to the role
Essential

Desirable
