Description
Priory Elton Unit is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the team.This is a full time, 37.5 hour role which includes nights and weekends. The shift times are 07.30am - 20.30pm and 20.15pm - 07.45am.

The Elton Unit is located on the outskirts of Bury, Greater Manchester. It is a 28-bedded specialist care home which provides residential and nursing support to adults aged 18 years and older who have a brain injury.

The brain injury service is aimed at those whose disability requires management by a specialist team of practitioners who work together to maintain the person's wellbeing and quality of life. The Elton Unit offers specialist care for a wide range of complex support needs, including people with a prolonged disorder of consciousness (PDOC).


What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

  • You will be a Qualified Registered Nurse with post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration
  • You will possess thorough knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, alongside evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong commitment to change, quality improvement, and excellence in care
  • Skilled in applying flexible and innovative approaches to practice, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working within a similar environment is desirable
