Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care, maintaining the highest professional standards.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care, responding promptly to changes in condition.

Medication & Compliance

• Administer medications safely in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council guidelines and hospital protocols.

• Maintain NMC revalidation requirements and adhere to clinical governance standards.

Documentation & Communication

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation to support safe and effective care delivery.

• Participate in patient handovers and contribute proactively to care planning discussions.

Patient-Centred Practice

• Promote dignity, respect, and compassionate care throughout the patient journey.

• Support patients and families pre- and post-operatively, offering reassurance and clear communication.

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with consultants, allied health professionals, and healthcare assistants to deliver integrated care.
