An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prison Cleared Nurse to join the Substance Misuse Team at HMP Bronzefield in Ashford, TW15 3JZ UK. Enjoy competitive hourly rates of £33 on weekdays, £36 on Saturdays and nights, and £40 on Sundays and bank holidays. This is an ongoing role that promises variety and the chance to make a genuine difference. You will deliver care across different shifts, with day shifts from 07:00 to 20:45 or 07:00 to 17:30 and night shifts from 20:30 to 07:15. As a vital member of our team, you must have level 2 prison clearance.

What you will do:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with substance misuse needs within the prison environment
- Administer medications, including those for addiction treatment, and monitor patients for any adverse effects
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create individually tailored care plans
- Engage with patients, offering support and health education to promote positive change
- Participate in daily handovers to ensure continuity of care and effective communication

Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
- Hold a relevant nursing qualification and an active NMC registration
- Have recent experience in substance misuse, addiction, drug and alcohol services, or similar fields
- Possess level 2 prison clearance for work in HMP Bronzefield
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
