An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prison Cleared Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD to join a specialist Mental Health Needs Lead (MHNL) service within a custodial setting in Northamptonshire. Role purpose

To provide safe, effective, and evidence-based mental health nursing care within a custodial environment. The post holder will assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care for individuals with complex mental health needs, contributing to improved outcomes while adhering to NMC standards, Trust policies, and prison service requirements.

What you will do

• Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments and formulation of care plans.

• Co-produce, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans alongside service users and the MDT.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and ongoing mental health support within the prison setting.

• Monitor mental state, medication adherence, and effectiveness of treatment plans.
