What You Will Do

  • Deliver mental health interventions for service users, covering primary and secondary mental health care needs within the prison.

  • Manage your own caseload, including assessments, care planning, intervention delivery, and reviews in line with the Care Programme Approach.

  • Provide culturally sensitive, patient-centred nursing care within the prison environment.

  • Carry out thorough risk assessments and offer well-informed clinical advice.

  • Coordinate and facilitate care assessments under the care coordination approach.

  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice, including treatment, nursing procedures, and medication administration.

  • Support quality assurance activities such as auditing, monitoring, and reviewing clinical practice in line with current guidance and policies.
