Practice Nurse - Gloucester (GL1)

£21.52 to £26.50 per hour (DOE) | 2 to 3 days per week | 7.6 weeks annual leave

A GP Practice in Gloucester (GL1) is looking to recruit an experienced and highly competent Practice Nurse to join its supportive clinical team on a part time basis.

This is a great opportunity for a confident and proactive Practice Nurse with strong primary care experience who is comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of the nursing team, you will provide high quality patient care across a range of clinical and practice responsibilities, including:

* Long Term Condition reviews, including diabetes

* Cervical screening

* Travel vaccinations

* Vaccination stock control and cold chain management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Current NMC registration

* Significant experience working within general practice or primary care

* Experience carrying out cervical screening

* Experience with vaccination programmes and cold chain management

* The ability to independently manage Long Term Condition reviews

* A strong understanding of infection prevention and practice governance

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team

A set weekly commitment will be agreed within the practice's opening hours.
