Screening Nurse
Location: West Midlands (site travel required)
Hours: Part Time - 3 days per week (7 hours 24 minutes per day)

OH Medical is recruiting for a Screening Nurse to join a well-established Occupational Health team supporting employees across the West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an interest in Occupational Health to work in a varied role focused on health screening, surveillance and wellbeing promotion. You will play an important role in supporting workforce health while ensuring compliance with statutory and clinical standards.
The role will involve regular travel to multiple sites across the West Midlands, delivering occupational health screening services and supporting the wider Occupational Health team.

You will play an important role in supporting workforce health while ensuring compliance with statutory and clinical standards.
The role will involve regular travel to multiple sites across the West Midlands, delivering occupational health screening services and supporting the wider Occupational Health team.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering pre-placement health screening via questionnaires, telephone or face-to-face assessments
- Managing and delivering health surveillance programmes (minimum 50 checks per month)
- Conducting screening tests including audiometry, spirometry and vision testing
- Supporting Occupational Health clinics, including driver medicals
- Managing call and recall systems for health surveillance programmes
- Providing health promotion and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation
- Offering workplace health advice and promoting healthy lifestyle choices
- Supporting staff following potential exposure to blood borne viruses
- Signposting staff to appropriate healthcare services when required
- Coordinating onward referrals to other Occupational Health specialists
- Obtaining medical reports from GPs or specialists where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and relevant legislation
- Contributing to policy development, training plans and risk assessments
About you
Essential
- Registered General Nurse or Adult Registered Nurse
- Minimum two years post-qualification nursing experience
- Good understanding of medical conditions including musculoskeletal and mental health
- Understanding of the biopsychosocial approach to health and wellbeing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Experience working within an Occupational Health service

- Willingness to travel to multiple locations across the West Midlands
- Enhanced DBS required
- Commitment to maintaining NMC revalidation and professional standards
