This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse looking to deliver a varied, proactive service covering case management, health surveillance, pre-employment screening and health promotion.
The successful candidate will work autonomously while being part of a supportive team, providing professional Occupational Health advice to employees and managers and helping to promote and maintain a healthy workforce.
Duties
- Manage a varied Occupational Health caseload, including management referrals and fitness for work assessments
- Provide clear advice to managers regarding attendance, health issues and return-to-work recommendations
- Undertake health surveillance including audiometry, vision and spirometry
- Complete pre-employment health screening and assessments
- Support psychological risk assessment and screening programmes
- Develop and support workplace health promotion initiatives
- Produce high-quality Occupational Health reports and maintain accurate clinical records
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR and Wellbeing team to support effective service delivery
- Registered General Nurse with a current NMC PIN
- Minimum two years' post-registration general nursing experience
- At least one year's experience within an Occupational Health setting
- Experience conducting health screening and health surveillance, including audiometry, vision and spirometry
- Experience completing fitness for work and pre-employment assessments
- Strong Occupational Health report writing skills, including recommendations for sickness absence and return-to-work cases
- Venepuncture skills
- An Occupational Health qualification, or working towards one, would be beneficial
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
