Summary

OH Medical is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join an established multidisciplinary Wellbeing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse looking to deliver a varied, proactive service covering case management, health surveillance, pre-employment screening and health promotion.

The successful candidate will work autonomously while being part of a supportive team, providing professional Occupational Health advice to employees and managers and helping to promote and maintain a healthy workforce.

Duties
  • Manage a varied Occupational Health caseload, including management referrals and fitness for work assessments
  • Provide clear advice to managers regarding attendance, health issues and return-to-work recommendations
  • Undertake health surveillance including audiometry, vision and spirometry
  • Complete pre-employment health screening and assessments
  • Support psychological risk assessment and screening programmes
  • Develop and support workplace health promotion initiatives
  • Produce high-quality Occupational Health reports and maintain accurate clinical records
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR and Wellbeing team to support effective service delivery
Criteria
  • Registered General Nurse with a current NMC PIN
  • Minimum two years' post-registration general nursing experience
  • At least one year's experience within an Occupational Health setting
  • Experience conducting health screening and health surveillance, including audiometry, vision and spirometry
  • Experience completing fitness for work and pre-employment assessments
  • Strong Occupational Health report writing skills, including recommendations for sickness absence and return-to-work cases
  • Venepuncture skills
  • An Occupational Health qualification, or working towards one, would be beneficial
