About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to support our business within the meat industry.
We operate across two sites, so will involve a small amount of travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive occupational health service to employees within the food industry.
- Carry out health surveillance activities, including audiometry, spirometry and other statutory assessments.
- Conduct fitness-for-work and pre-placement medical assessments.
- Support workplace drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with clinical governance and GDPR requirements.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Health & Safety and operational teams to provide occupational health advice.
- Promote employee health, wellbeing and preventative health initiatives.
- Manage occupational health casework, including sickness absence and return-to-work support.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
- Proven occupational health experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience delivering health surveillance and occupational health case management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload.
- IT literate
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Occupational Health qualification (Diploma or Degree).
- Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and food standards.
- Experience delivering immunisation and health programmes.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
