Occupational Health Nurse Job | Maple Cross | Full or Part-time
OH Medical is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join a growing Occupational Health team supporting the construction sector. This flexible, part-time opportunity is based primarily in Maple Cross, with travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire. Working 3 to 5 days per week, you will deliver a range of Occupational Health services including health surveillance, drug and alcohol screening, wellbeing assessments and health promotion through toolbox talks, helping to maintain a safe and healthy workforce.

OH Medical is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join a growing Occupational Health team supporting the construction sector. This flexible, part-time opportunity is based primarily in Maple Cross, with travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire. Working 3 to 5 days per week, you will deliver a range of Occupational Health services including health surveillance, drug and alcohol screening, wellbeing assessments and health promotion through toolbox talks, helping to maintain a safe and healthy workforce.
Duties
- Deliver health surveillance including audiometry, spirometry and vision screening.
- Carry out workplace drug and alcohol screening in line with company procedures.
- Complete employee wellbeing assessments and provide health promotion advice.
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks on Occupational Health and workplace wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential Occupational Health records.
- Provide advice and recommendations to support employee health and fitness for work.
- Travel to construction sites across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire.
- Ensure all Occupational Health activities comply with current legislation and best practice.
Criteria
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
- Previous Occupational Health Nursing experience.
- Experience delivering health surveillance and drug and alcohol testing.
- Strong communication skills with confidence presenting toolbox talks.
- Able to work independently whilst managing a varied workload across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Occupational Health qualification (Degree, Diploma or equivalent) would be advantageous.
- Experience within construction, engineering or another high-risk industry would be beneficial.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Flexible part-time working, 3 to 5 days per week.
- Primarily based in Maple Cross with travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire.
