This role is based at Darlington Borough Council and runs from 5th May 2026 to 2nd August 2026, offering a structured and rewarding three‑month opportunity with a blend of stability and flexibility.

What you will do

• Carry out health assessments and screenings for council employees to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
• Provide specialist advice on occupational health matters and develop appropriate action plans.
• Design and implement health policies and wellbeing programmes aligned with employee needs.
• Manage cases of work‑related ill health, working closely with HR and other departments.
• Deliver health, safety, and wellbeing training and awareness sessions.
• Maintain accurate occupational health records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.
