Registered Nursing Home Manager
Up to £65,000 per year | Full Time | Nurse Qualified
A successful nursing home is shaped by the person leading it – setting expectations, developing the team and making sure excellent care is reflected in residents’ everyday experience.
We’re looking for an accomplished, nurse-qualified Nursing Home Manager with a strong track record of successfully managing a nursing home and achieving positive CQC outcomes. You’ll take overall responsibility for the home, bringing together clinical leadership, team development, compliance and operational performance.
What We’re Looking For
- RGN or RMN qualification with an active NMC registration – essential
- Proven Nursing Home Manager experience – essential
- A successful track record of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC ratings
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance
- Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary nursing and care teams
- Confidence managing quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of person-centred care for older adults
- Experience overseeing staffing, recruitment and retention
- Confidence managing budgets and the wider operational performance of a nursing home
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A visible, supportive and accountable leadership style

Leading the Home
- Take overall responsibility for the clinical and operational management of the nursing home
- Lead, motivate and develop nursing, care and support teams
- Maintain consistently high standards of person-centred care
- Drive quality improvement and work towards maintaining Good and Outstanding CQC standards
- Maintain strong clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
- Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, retention and team development
- Ensure residents' individual needs, preferences and choices remain central to their care
- Maintain high standards across the home’s environment and resident experience
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies
- Manage budgets and resources effectively without compromising care quality
- Promote a positive culture where colleagues feel supported and residents feel genuinely at home
