Job Description

Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN) – Nights

£21.00 per hour | 36 Hours per Week | 8:00pm – 8:00am | Permanent

Please note: Due to the location of the home, applicants must be able to drive as public transport options are limited.

This Good CQC-rated service is looking for an experienced Staff Nurse to work permanent night shifts, providing high-quality, person-centred care to older adults. The successful candidate will be confident managing a range of clinical needs while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and dignified care throughout the night.

Situated in the beautiful countryside, the home offers a peaceful setting with well-maintained gardens where residents can relax and enjoy the outdoors. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll help create a warm, homely environment while delivering excellent clinical care and promoting residents' independence and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Strong clinical skills, including experience with:
    • PEG feeding
    • Wound care
    • Catheter care
  • Experience using electronic care planning and electronic medication management systems.
  • Excellent clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach to nursing.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the location of the service.

Staff Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately using electronic medication management systems.
  • Complete and maintain electronic care plans, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Carry out clinical procedures including PEG care, wound care, and catheter management.
  • Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, responding promptly to any changes in condition.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding care.
  • Support residents and their families with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and nursing best practice.
